Gochu Peppers are one of the brightest red peppers I've ever seen, they stand out in the garden for just how intense their color is. These are the type of peppers used in making traditional Korean foods like Kimchi and Gochujang. Despite the similar shape to regular red cayenne chilies, gochu chillis are hard to substitute. They have an exceptional flavor, natural smokiness, and the perfect spice level that makes a world of difference to your Kimchi. We use the powder of this pepper to make our nappa cabbage, radish and  carrot kmchi's at home during this season!
