Set of 2 rhizomes per packet

Rs.150/- per packet

(Be careful with the rhizomes, the growing tip at the end of the rhizome must not be broken, as it can not grow back. The rhizomes should be planted within few days of receiving it as now is the perfect time to plant it. Planting them in early monsoon can result in a second flowering cycle coming back at the end of the monsoon!)

Glory lily is an easy-to-grow, seasonal wildflower native to the western ghats. . The Plants grow quickly at the end of summer/ early monsoon and produce spectacular displays of 4-6 inch flowers in various shades of red. The flowers last several days each and their colors change slightly every day. The plants can grow without support but do best if given support or grown alongside another plant. Once the flowers wither, the plants will continue to stay alive for another 2 months approximately and must not be disturbed so that they can form more rhizomes underground. These rhizomes will survive beneath the soil until the nest year, when they will rise up again and flower. The rhizomes can also be divided in early summer and split into many new plants.
