An intensely fragrant variety of Rajnigandha with large, Multipetaled blossoms the color of the full moon. This variety has tolerated both drought and waterlogged soils on our farm, and not only did it survive but flowered in these adverse conditions. It grows in containers just as well. They have a minimum requirement for fertilization, but any compost you provide will just improve the growth of the plants and enhance flowering. In the first season, it will produce a single flower stalk and establish a colony of many new plants at the base. From the second growing season onwards, each individual daughter plant at the base will also flower, so each colony can produce up to 5-10 flower stalks every season. The flower stalks hold tens of flowers that bloom over a few weeks. The flowers have an excellent shelf life even after cutting, and the stalks last several weeks if cut and placed in a vase!
