50+ Seeds per packet

Rs.100/- per packet

An heirloom variety of Indian holy basil with an intense fragrance of camphor in its leaves. We commonly refer to it as the "Vicks Basil" because of how similar the fragrance is to Vicks balm. Simply touching the plant fills the air with its rich aroma and its especially soothing when you have a cold, allergies, headaches, or similar conditions. Camphor basil is edible and has medicinal value, the flowers are abundant and attract tons of bees and other pollinators. The leaves are a cool, lime green and are covered in fuzzy leaf hairs, making it an interesting ornamental element in gardens as well. It grows to about 2 feet in height on average with a strong woody main stem. As a whole, this is a low maintenance, but very rewarding plant.

Seed starting tips: The seeds are tiny so plant them on, or very close to the surface of the soil. Keep the soil surface moist (possibly watering daily/ twice a day depending on your weather) until you see the seedlings emerge. As with most basil varieties, self seeding is very common, and once a plant is established in a garden, if allowed to set seeds, it will naturally replant itself in succesive seasons.
