This monsoon seasonal crop is close to impossible to find in its fresh form in markets, but is gaining popularity as an ingredient in jams and teas (check out our own, in-house hibiscus spice, herbal tea blend!) Jams, chutneys, and juice made from fresh roselle have a uniquely fresh, fruity quality that is addictive! Grow and consume this crop all winter long to get all the vitamin C you need, and naturally boost your immunity. The leaves are also edible and delicious (called gongura or ambadi) and the stem is used to extract fiber for ropes.
